This morning, May 16, 2007 at 8:00 AM, I discovered Equity standing in the pasture grazing. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that a pair of hoofs were protruding from her vagina. The hoofs were pointed upward which told me the calf was lying breech. Here are some pictures of what I saw:

After numerous phone calls to several folks, I was advised to take her to the vet to pull the calf. Thanks to Bill Bedrick and Andrew McKay I was able to get her to Risinger's Veterinary Clinic in Terrell. Dr. Casey Risinger pulled the calf in about 15 minutes. He later informed me that this was the largest calf he's ever pulled! Click Here to see the results of that experience. CAUTION: Not a pretty scene!
